 | Study of the Word LifeGroup - The Gospel of Mark - The second of the Gospels of the New Testament is generally
recognized as the oldest. The early
church fathers suggest that Mark wrote Peters accounts as it was related to
him. Matthew and Luke share many stories
with Mark and may well have had Mark’s account when they wrote their
Gospels. Mark’s Gospel starts with the
baptism of Jesus. What exactly happened
to Jesus at the baptism? What does our
baptism mean to us? How does Mark’s
perspective on our Lord differ from the other Gospels? These are some of the many questions we will
be exploring at the Wednesday evening Bible study starting September 15 at
7PM. It will be an interactive study of
the Gospel. We will take whatever time
is required. Difficult questions and
challenging discussions will be encouraged. All adult ages are welcome to the Study of the Word bible class this
fall. Feel free to bring a friend. Mike Myers, facilitator.
